Books I’ve Read This Year 2023

Throughout 2023 I requested Goodreads.com to track my reading of my Kindle and Audible.com to track my audible reads.

I’m pretty sure I managed to get 20 NEW books read this year.  But I’ll find out in a minute when I start listing them down.  I know I bought more than 20 books.  I expect it’s quite a few more, but 20 was my reading goal per the annual challenge I accepted back in Jan 2023 with Goodreads.  Granted these are not the only books I’ve read as I tend to re-read favorites over and over.  Don’t know why but David Weber has been a go-to when I want some action and of course the romance Tropical Storm by Melissa Good is golden.  Right now, I’m re-reading Monasco: Passage to Anathema by Carole Wolf who had better be writing faster.  I just found out Book 2 is out for this series.

Your Deceptive Mind: A Scientific Guide to Critical Thinking Skills
by Steven Novella

Alright, the rest of my audible books are half-finished or not even started.  I subscribe to Audible and get 1 novel a month. It’s like $14 and once in a while, it’s 3 credits for $25ish.  I peruse the listings, save some on my wish list then shop those selections when the credit sales run.  I have quite a few Great Courses not finished, like:   And my two personal favorites, which I’m moving through slowly: If you haven’t been reviewing your reading every year, try to list down what you remember reading, right now.  And if everything you read was for pleasure (aka romance novels, adventures, westerns) list those too.  You just never know what you will find is an important key to your mindset for the year.  Reading stimulates the mind, and makes the reader empathize and relate.  And can give you a thrill or make you laugh out loud.  Reading will keep you entertained and well-educated.  And your vocabulary will grow.  All positives. I highly recommend the habit.   Have a plan. Make the plan an improvement for you.  Stick to the plan. Happy Holidays.  Happy New Year. I want to give a quick shout-out to PLOTTR software which is very intuitive.  My new favorite writing aid. Use any of my affiliate links below and I might get a small commission.
